BEAVERTON, Ore. -- A man claiming to have a gun allegedly robbed a Cedar Hills-area sandwich shop early Wednesday morning.

At just before 3 a.m., Beaverton police were called to a robbery at Subway at 2915 SW Cedar Hills Boulevard. During the robbery, a lone shop employee was inside the store when a man walked in, claiming to have a gun and demanding cash. The employee did not see a gun seen, however, but did comply with the robber's demands before the thief left. No vehicle was seen or heard and it's unknown which direction the man ran. The man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Within minutes of the call to 911, police had set up a perimeter and started a K-9 track but were unable to locate the man.

He was described as a white male adult, 6-foot to 6-foot-3 with a medium build. He was last seen wearing dark pants, a dark flannel shirt over a gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood covering his head. The man also was wearing dark ski mask with a bandanna covering his face.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to call the Beaverton Police Department at 503-629-0111.
